What is the New Model Army?

The New Model Army was formed in 1645 by in supports of the English Parliament by Oliver Cromwell. It was dismantled after the Civil War ended. It was different from other armies of time as it was liable for service anywhere in the country and very disciplined. The majority of this army was formed mostly of veteran soldiers. The New Model Army consisted of nearly 22,000 soldiers. They fought against the Cavaliers of King Charles army.
